Bloomington, Illinois, November 10, 2008 – State Farm has been ranked 3rd in the J.D. Power and Associates 2008 Auto Claims Satisfaction Study.
The study measured the experiences of auto collision and comprehensive claimants by examining satisfaction with the claims process. It examined claimants’ experience with the following factors: claims settlement; service interaction; first notice of loss; repair process; and rental experience. The study shows that State Farm performs particularly well in service interaction, which according to the study reflects the interaction State Farm customers have with their agents.

State Farm, the nation’s largest auto insurer, had a score of 851. The industry average score was 818.
The J.D. Power and Associates 2008 Auto Claims Satisfaction Study is based on 11,671 responses from auto insurance customers who filed a claim within the past 12 months.
